Waynetown - Frances Wray, 78, a life resident of Waynetown died at 12:05 a.m. Monday in Home Hospital, Lafayette. She had resided at Williamsport for the past two years. She retired from RR Donnelley & Sons at Crawfordsville after 35 years and had worked at Meridian Mutual Insurance Co. at Crawfordsville prior to that. Her memberships included Waynetown Christian Church and Waynetown Chapter 435 OES. She as a graduate of Waynetown HS and Indiana Central College, Indianapolis. Mrs. Wray was born Nov 22, 1909 at Waynetown to John W. and Ada Murdock Kunkel. She married Frank L. Wray of New Market on Sept 23, 1950. He died Dec 16, 1976. Survivors include a brother, Paul Kunkel of Williamsport; a niece; a nephew and several cousins. A sister preceded her in death. Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. wednesday in Thomas Funeral Home at Waynetown with Rev. Tim Stanwood officiating. Burial in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.
